Feelings Of Finality

This morning I woke up and realized that this will be my last full Sunday in London. Next week we will still be in Scotland around this time. It was such a weird feeling to think that things are coming to an end. I still have about 13 days over here, but already there are things that are wrapping up and others that we won't be doing again. Last week Bishop Jones asked the seven of us in the ward if we would provide a musical nip umber today. We all forgot about that until last night, and so got to put the song together this morning. I played the piano while the girls sang. Fortunately they are all fantastic at singing and we were able to pull it goether really well.
At church I passed the sacrament with the deacons, sat with an investigator that the missionaries had invited to church, performed our musical number and enjoyed some great lessons. I thought back to my first week in the ward, having only been in London for one day at that point. Our luggage had not arrived so we were all wearing borrowed clothes and were extremely jet lagged. It feels like such a long time ago but went by so quickly. I tried my best to take in all that happened today and the great things that I have learned from the members of the Peckham ward.
Back at home we enjoyed the greatness that is the lazy sort of Sunday. We snacked in the kitchen and watched more Olympic events. There is something so fun about watching and cheering for our teams with a big group. We have been cheering USA obviously, but have also adopted team GB (Great Britain) as well as they have been wonderful hosts to us. Now they just need to start earning some medals, those poor guys.
I took an accidental nap, though it felt veyr wonderful and then suddenly the evening was here. We had a great pesto pasta with my favorit rolls, and we are currently watching the movie, Mater and Commandermfor Wade's history class. We are supposed to watch 2 of 5 selected films for the class, and of course I have put off my watching until now. So I get to spend my next two Sunday evenings watching some movies! Hooray.
Tomorrow we begin our North Trip adventure. I am quite excited, though sad to be leaving fantastic London again. We have a lot of fun things planned though, so it should be a fantastic time. Once we get back finals shall be upon us ans will our last week in London. I can't believe how quickly the summer has been going by, and will do my best to enjoy what is left of it!
