First up I went to Hyde park and finally figured out how to work the Bicycle rental. I took an amazing bike ride through the park and it felt so good. It's still been sunny and hot, so I was grateful for the breeze that came with riding the bike. I then hopped on the tube and made my way over to South Bank to explore the shops and museums over there. I found a really cool book sale under a bridge that sold so many books! I spent more time there than I probably should have, but it was great fun. I contemplated going to the London Monument and climbing to the top to get a certificate, but the thought of it made me tired again so I began my journey home. I got distracted by yet another book store, and somehow left with a UK copy of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. I may have a problem....I can't stop buying books.
Dinner was interesting as we had some form of chinese salad with pasta and rolls. I don't know if I have mentioned it yet, but I am in love with Thais' rolls. I eat more than I should every day and I fear that I shall grow fat. Bread makes you fat.
In the evening we all went to see the play adaption of Chariots of Fire. To make up for messing up our reservation for 12th Night, the BYU Office bought us all tickets to the show. I have never seen the film version, so it was all new for me. I really enjoyed the show and they had a lot of cool stuff to help portray the races. The stage span, similar to Les Miserables and they had lots of platforms that extended into the audience that they ran across. I was informed that it was pretty faithful to the movie too! I felt it was a random choice of show, though it did fit the theme of the Olympics. (Speaking of, this place is getting CROWDED)! The show was great though and made for a great evening.
Not many photos today, as I was mostly on my own. Though I'd share the ones taken at the theatre though! :)
Chariots of Fire (Because I missed the Stadium version)
