Here it is! My 50th post! Time for celebration! Well, unfortunately today was not the most exciting day to have our 50th post celebration. Today I attended four different lectures for classes to make up for not having classes earlier this week. That meant that almost the entire day was taken up so that we could listen to people talk about smart stuff. Classes went well though and even though I could tell that everyone was exhausted from essay writing, we managed to get through the first chunk of stuff. We had a little bit of down time between each of the classes, but not enough to really go out and explore like we'd want to.
In the evening we had a guest lecturer come and speak to us! Fortunately I had my little book of drawings to pass the time! Professor Black from somewhere here in the UK spoke about religion in the UK and stuff like that. We had some personal time with him here in the center before we had a big devotional in the Hyde Park Chapel. The Hyde Park chapel is really cool because it is the only church building in the entire LDS world that is also a full time visitors center! IT opened up just recently and has full time missionaries that serve in there 364 days a year (only day off is Christmas). It's a gorgeous building and I think it would be so fun to have church there! It was full of cool gadgets to preach the gospel! The devotional was for our group as well as the BYU Cambridge and BYU Film groups that have also been studying here in London. They aren't as cool as us because they don't get to stay in the center! Instead they live with members in flats all over the place. They provided dinner for us and then Professor Black spoke to us some more. I drew some lovely photos.
After the devotional me and the pals (Sarah, Emilee and Paul) helped Alvaro clean up dinner and then watched Mormon.org videos to pass the time. We also walked through Hyde park and read Remains of the Day to Emilee. Paul did the voices and I made the sound effects. I have also decided that Hyde park is one of my favorite places here in London. I feel like every time I go I discover something amazing! We also got some candy and some soda at the local store to prepare us for some more homework tonight! We have a few more classes tomorrow and then we shall be free for the rest of the week to do whatever we want! HOORAY!
Unfortunately no photos today. We were kind of boring. But even boring over here has some fun to it! :) Happy 50th!
To celebrate I want everyone to comment and say their favorite post or favorite photo I've taken! I need some attention and recognition to enjoy this 50th post. So away you go!
Dad's favorite picture is you in your Sherlock attire. I, of course, love all your posts and pictures but I'm quite fond of your description of Dover and the photos there. I also get a kick out of your Subway Spidey pose b
ReplyDeleteDear Jace,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I have been absent for so long. I have been reading! I have been loving! I am finally caught up on your adventures and can't wait for you to come home so we can talk about all of them! My favorite post is the Harry Potter one! I also like the picture of you on the crazy swivel chairs. :)
