In the third class of this wonderful London experience we met in the Kennedy Center to watch a presentation given by Mark Blyth. He is from Scotland, so we go to enjoy his accent through a presentation about the economy of the US and the UK. Our teachers wanted us to know a little bit about the financial situation before we went, and that it is actually very similar to what is going on here. They have their own occupy movement in London and are suffering financially as well. It was very interesting, though lots of it did go over my head. (I've never been too good with economics). This took up most of our class time, so we didn't get to discuss too much. Though we did all get full points on our quiz just for being there! A plus!
I was searching around some blogs about London Study Abroad and I came across some pictures of the BYU London Center that I thought I would share!
The London Center!
A Closer look at the front door!
The entryway
The nice dining area!
The sitting room. There was a better picture of this shown in class
but I wasn't able to track that one down.
The lovely bedrooms. I hope someone isn't creeped out that
I am posting a photo of their bedroom on here....
