So, week the fourth was mostly full of learning about literature. It was all very fascinating, and it makes me quite excited for the classes that we will be having while abroad. That's something that I have to keep reminding myself, that we will actually be expected to go to class and learn as well. Fortunately my professors already seem amazing and the classes look great as well. In week the fifth we spent a little more time on actual trip business. We received our International Students ID's (legit) and were also given forms to prepare for customs. I have one distinct memory of waiting in customs for over an hour while trying to get home from México. No bueno. (That's Spanish for GAH!). Professor Jacoby also had his daughter come and talk to us for a little bit about some of her favorite things to do in free time, which mostly consisted of going out to eat. It sounds like we won't have to worry about starving. (Fun little tidbit from my reading, apparently a good way to flatter a Brit is to tell them their food is better than the food in France, which is "overrated"). We shall see about that.
At the end of class we were given a link to the National Theatre (yes, spelled with the the "r" before the "e") website. People 18-25 can sign up for a membership that allows them to buy tickets to plays performed there for only £5. I had to copy and paste that because I have no idea how to make a pound sign! GAh! My text! It's all little now!
